Sand-diving lizardfishes, Pseudotrichonotidae

Currently, 4 species of 1 genus are recorded as fish belonging to Sand-diving lizardfishes, and only 1 species inhabits Japan. Although it is classified as Aulopiformes here, there are reports that it is also closely related to the Myctophiformes.
