Soles belongs to the order Flatfish, with a flat body and two eyes on the right side of the body. Their body length is smaller than that of the similar sole family, and they can be distinguished by whether their eyes are on the left side or the right side. Soles live on the bottom of sand and mud and feed on small animals such as shrimp and amphipods on the bottom.
